What’s the story…Soap & Glory – Scrub Your Nose In It Review

It’s been a while since I’ve done a blog in my soap and glory series and while probably most people are tucking into all their new Soap and Glory bits they had this Christmas, I’m still making my way through my huge gift set I had last year! So, today I thought I’d do a little review of the Scrub Your Nose In It ‘multi-tasking face scrub and mask marvel’ designed to help refine large pores and prevent blemishes. It basically a once or twice a week face scrub you can use to exfoliate you’re troublesome t-zone and refresh the face. I’ve been using it once a week, when my face is feeling tired and my skin’s just in need of a boost. I apply it to my t-zone (forehead, nose and chin) which are also the most prone areas of my face for dryness and breakouts, and the work the product out around the rest of my face.

The consistency of the product itself might look a little strange, and to me it reminds me of the stuff they used to make moulds of my teeth before I had braces fitted and the paste they use for the x-rays in the gum shields! haha It’s a minty green colour and quite thick but you do only need a small amount for a good coverage of your problem areas.

The sensation you get from the product is incredible and straight away your skin tingles as the scrub gets to work on your pores. The sensation is really nice and fresh feeling and leaves my skin feeling lovely and soft once it has been rinsed. My skin lately hasn’t been too sensitive so I’ve found this product great, although someone with very sensitive skin may find the tingling and smell from the product a little overpowering and it could well irritate the skin further. I remember using it a while back when my skin was very dry and found it to be more drying to my skin but at the moment I am not finding that as my skin is in better condition.

It does recommend on the product that you do follow using this with moisturiser and I would definitely agree with this as it just adds to the softness and stops your skin from drying out.

You can also use this product as a ‘Pore Purifying Clay Mask’ by leaving it on for a good few minutes rather than rinsing it off straight away and I have also found this to be very refreshing and soothing.I’ve also been really impressed with how bright it leaves my skin looking. All in all I have been really impressed with the product and will continue to use it over the next few months and see if it improves the appearance of black spots around my nose. I look forward to using it every week and love the fresh clean feeling it leaves me with after I’ve used it. Whether I repurchase it would depend on the outcome over the long term simply because of the price tag (£7.40 in Boots for a 125ml bottle seems a little steep to me) but I think this tube should last me a good while and I am expecting good things from it based on my use so far.

Thanks for reading! x
